Preparation Course for Cambridge Certificate Exams
The Cambridge Proficiency exams are recognized and acclaimed worldwide, being accepted by universities, institutes of higher education and employers as proof that the applicant possesses the necessary skills in the English language to either study or carry out the job. Thus, for example, if you wish to study at an English university or polytechnic, the Certificate of Advanced English, the Certificate of Proficiency in English or the IELTS are the language requirements.
In order to take part in an MBA course we would recommend that you obtain the Business English Certificate Higher which is at the same level as the Certificate in Advanced English, but is more relevant for students of economics because it concentrates entirely on this area.
For companies, one of the most important certificates nowadays to show proficiency in the English language is the Cambridge ESOL certificate. It offers an objective and independent assessment of the language skills as well as an accurate picture of the language abilities of the new applicant or colleague. The Business English Certificates are exams that are aimed at those people who would like to improve their professional chances. The Business English Language Testing Service is a reliable test of language ability in the workplace (systematic improvement of your vocabulary, sentence structure and grammar). An intensive spoken language training is also carried out.
Preparation Course for Spoken English for Industry and Commerce (SEFIC)
The exam “Spoken English for Industry and Commerce” (SEFIC) has been designed for everyone who has to deal with the English language on a day to day basis, whether privately or professionally. Participants should be able to use the foreign language as a means of communication in certain situations and be able to express themselves accordingly.
This is an entirely oral examination which is taken on specific dates of the year in the LCCIEB examination centers throughout Germany. It is carried out in the form of a conversation between the examiner and the examinee, who must prove his/her ability to use and to understand the English language in the business world.
Spoken English for Industry and Commerce is divided into 5 levels of competence: everything from survival or threshold English to the level of a native speaker. The lower levels require a general knowledge of the language as well as a simple command of the business language that would allow the examinee to function in day to day situations as well as to communicate sufficiently in the business world. In the higher levels, the exam concentrates exclusively on business language.
